Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hi, my name is Latosha Perry, and I’m the Executive Director of Parkland Business & Development Association.
What have you been working on in your neighborhood?
I have currently been working to hold my ethical and legal responsibility to ensure that the Parkland Business & Development Association does the best work possible in pursuit of its goals in the Parkland neighborhood.
How did you get involved in this work?
I support the purpose and mission of the organization and pledge my commitment to assist in carrying out its work.
What do you love about your neighborhood?
I love the history of Parkland and that about 87% of the population is made up of African Americans. It was once known as “Little Africa.”
What are your hopes for your neighborhood in the future?
The Parkland Business Development & Association hopes to work as a collective of business owners, stakeholders, and community leaders in the Parkland area of West Louisville with a mission to restore, develop and sustain a growing, equitable and thriving Parkland community for all. We support the ongoing development and use of the Parkland Business and Community to include items such as strategic development, fundraising, programming, community engagement, and maintenance coordination in Parkland. We also want to re-direct the negative scars placed in Parkland.
